They began to sign treaties with Native American Tribes that confined them to smaller areas that had definite bo undaries to make more gossip for white settlers who wanted there own land. numerous Native Americans rejected the treaties and go on to hunt on their superannuated search grounds. This caused many conflicts between white settlers and the Native American Tribes.         These changes in the governments policies and conflicts between Native Americans and white settlers led to vile massacres such as the Sand brook execute. The Sand Creek Massacre was a devastating loss for the Cheyenne as they bewildered 200 of their own people mostly women and children.
